Mr. Ronald "Bossman" Jones, 72 of Lake City, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at the HCA Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born September 10, 1953 to the late George and Ethel Mae Jones. He was preceded in death by one son, Rico Jones and his loving companion Dynell Rice Jones.
He received his education at Richardson High School and Columbia High School, graduating with the Class of 1971. He was raised in a Christian home, he was a faithful member of the New Day Springs Missionary Baptist Church where he attended until his health began to fail.
Ronald was employed by Hercules Stump Grinding for many years. After retirement, he became the successful owner of S & J Logging Company successfully for more than 20 years. He was an avid Florida Gator Fan and enjoyed watching football, tennis, and basketball. He loved spending time with his family and friends, enjoyed their visits, food and phone conversations.
His memories will be forever cherished by his loving, devoted, caretaker and daughter Tabatha Jones, children Tavisha (Kiarra) Jones, Kendrick (Deanna) Jones, Kineka (Claude) Kelsey, Jermaine (Rosibel) Griffin, and Ronald Jones, Jr.; siblings Wallace (Noreen) Jones, Essie (Jonathan) Griffin, Pauline Lewis, Earline (Curtis) Haynes, Earl Jones, Debra Jones, Karen (Horace) Jefferson, Michael (Tashika) Jones, and Tarona Jones, all of Lake City, Florida; one uncle Alphonso (Brenda) Wilson, Lake City, Florida; eighteen (18) grandchildren and five (5) great grandchildren.
