Raymond Tyrone Cooper

Raymond Tyrone Cooper, age 76, a resident of St. Petersburg, Florida a former longtime resident of Lake City, Florida, peacefully passed away on December 15, 2025, in St. Petersburg, Florida. He was born on September 5, 1949, in Needmore, Florida, to the late Mr. James Cooper, Sr. and the late Mrs. Grace Rossin Cooper.

Raymond received his formal education through the public-school systems of Ware County, Georgia; Coffee County, Georgia; and Columbia County, Florida.

Throughout his working life, Raymond was employed with Aero Corporation and later worked as a truck driver. He eventually joined J.D. Dixon Construction, where he faithfully served until his retirement. Raymond was well known for his fun-loving spirit and warm personality. He never met a stranger and had a remarkable way of bringing smiles and laughter to everyone he encountered. He truly enjoyed life, embracing a love for people, social gatherings, and fast cars.

Raymond was preceded in death by his brothers, James Cooper, Jr., Ralph Jerome Cooper, Clifford Cooper, and his youngest sister, Eunice Cooper.

He is survived by his daughter, Deeshah (Richard) Evans, his sons: Tony Kelly and Maurice Harris. His siblings: Eddie Lee (Iola "Linda") Cooper, Grace M. Cooper, Barbara Jean Parker, Larry (Angelika) Cooper and Clayton Cooper, five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever remember his joyful spirit and kind heart.
