Ray F. Simpson was born on April 4, 1937. He was the beloved son of the late Mr. Marshall Simpson, the late Mrs. Carey Simpson, and his devoted mother, Mrs. Cleo Smith. On September 18, 2025, after a brief illness, he gained his “Golden Wings” and entered into eternal rest.
Ray received his education in the public schools of Colquitt County, Georgia. He went on to build a long and meaningful career with the Palm Beach County School Board, where he served faithfully until his retirement after many years of dedicated service.
In his leisure time, Ray enjoyed fishing and was an avid sports fan, especially devoted to the Miami Dolphins. More importantly, he lived a life filled with love and devotion to his family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a true friend to all who knew him.
Ray F. Simpson’s love and memory will forever be cherished by his devoted wife, Mrs. Sarah L. Simpson; his children, Raymond Simpson, Ariane Lockett, and Kimberly Simpson; his stepchildren, Harold Ingraham and Bobby Ingraham; his grandchildren, Krystal (Tavaris) Harris, Kendra Newton, Terrance Lockett, and Daniel Jones III; and his great-grandchildren, Essence Brown and Sariya McElheney. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will continue to honor his legacy
