Michael Leroy Dunlap

Mr. Michael Leroy Dunlap, fifty-seven years of age, a longtime resident of Lake City, Florida, has left his family and friends to cherish his memories during his “Life’s Journey.” He was born in Alachua, Florida on April 2, 1967, to Mrs. Evelyn Freeman Dunlap and the late Mr. Willie Dunlap, Sr.

Michael was a graduate of Columbia High School Class of 1985. In the year 2023, in the month of July, Mr. Michael Dunlap dedicated his life to Christ as his “Personal Savior” on his bed of affliction, trusting and believing in the Lord to carry him through the remainder of his life. Michael’s words were always “I’ll never give up no matter what,” trusting that God was in control of his tomorrow.

He was raised up to be a well-mannered and respectable hardworking man. He was employed in a few different occupations over the years and his final job was at Haeco Aviation Maintenance Department before he became ill. Mike’s hobbies were watching game shows and sports. He was an avid football and basketball fan. He also loved going to the river to kick back and relax.

Michael’s family member who has preceded him in death are still in the hearts of his family that remain. He was preceded in death by his beloved father Mr. Willie Dunlap, Sr., brother Willie Dunlap, Jr., grandmothers: Mrs. Catherine Kelly and Mrs. Rosalie Dunlap, aunts: Minnie Lindsey, Patricia Johnson, Elizabeth Kelly and many more beloved family members that shared in his nurturing and up bringing.

On January 13, 2025, Michael took his last breath from his “Life’s Journey” leaving behind to cherish all wonderful and sweet memories is his loving mother Mrs. Evelyn Dunlap of Lake City, FL, sister Tonya (Joseph) Waters of Live Oak, FL, nephew Willie III (Tiffany) Dunlap of Richmond, VA, aunts Essie (Carlton) Lewis, Pearl (Billy) Johnson, Shirley Jones all of Lake City, FL and a host of cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
