Marquetta Anderson Obituary

Marquetta Cherise Anderson was born on October 11, 1990, in West Palm Beach, Florida. Quetta, as she was so affectionately known, was the beloved daughter of the late Paul L. Anderson, Sr., and Odell and Garry Lenoir. On June 25, 2025, God, in His Infinite Wisdom and Divine Love, saw it befitting to call her beautiful soul home at the age of 34.

Quetta graduated from Columbia High School in 2009, where she was cherished by her classmates and crowned Prom Queen. Throughout the years, she maintained a close and loving relationship with them, often serving as the class representative for various special events and occasions. After graduating, she had a desire to work in the medical field and became a certified phlebotomist; however, her real passion was STYLING HAIR.  With God’s anointing, she became a master stylist with a clientele too large to count. Getting your hair done by “BOSS LADY CREATIONS” was not just about looking good; it was also a therapeutic experience that made you feel good.

Quetta was baptized at an early age at Olivet Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a member until God called her home.  She touched the lives of many with her profound sense of humor, warmth, creativity, and outgoing nature. She was a generous friend and possessed an incredible ability to connect with just about anyone. She had a rare gift of building community wherever she found herself. Quetta radiated love, and she left a legacy that will last forever to those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Curtis Anderson; her father, Paul L. Anderson, Sr.; grandfathers, Raleigh Anderson, Gurley Brown, and Frank Kelly; and grandmothers, Mary Anderson, Adell Harrington, and Constance Kelly-Mitchell.

Quetta leaves to cherish her precious memories: the love of her life, her daughter Makenzie Anderson; her loving and supportive mom and bonus dad, Garry and Odell Anderson Lenoir; birth parent, Renee Ward (Michael), sisters: Paulette Julien (Jason) and LaShonda Newton; brothers: Paul Anderson, II (Patrice), Marcus Anderson (Jana), Mark Kelly and Brad Hester (Crystal); uncles: Cleveland Harrington (Jonnie), Lee Harrington, Kenneth Harrington (Joetta), Donald Harrington (Debra), Gary Anderson (Martha), Harry Anderson, (Connie), Warren Anderson (Dianne), Don Anderson, Jeffery Kelly (Patrice) and Rodney Kelly (PreAngela), aunts: Annie Ruth Barrington, Beverly James, Carlene Anderson, Ann Anderson, Cynthia Anderson, Faye Towns (Albert), Donna Manning (Basil) and Deborah Kelly; great-uncles: Narvell Kelly (Betty) and DeLeon Kelly (Marilyn); great-aunts: May Ella Blakenship, Verna Mae Preston; nephews: Anthony Newton (Necole), Calvin Manning, Jr., Stephen Dunn, II (Janila), Franklin Newton, Bryce Anderson, Cameron Anderson, Jalen Anderson and Marcus Anderson, Jr.; nieces: Asia Newton, Lavender Anderson, and Stevi Anderson; god-daughters: Salem Jordan, London McRae and Myani James; and a host of other relatives and friends.
