Louvenia Johnson Wyche was born on July 14, 1943, in Fernandina Beach, Florida to the late Elnora Benjamin and Albert Johnson. She entered eternal rest on June 15, 2025. Louvenia moved to Lake City in 1978, where she received her education at Lake City Community College. She accepted Christ at an early age.
Louvenia is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Albert Johnson and Deacon Charlie and Elnora Hoggard, Sr., her beloved husband, Amos Wyche; 2 daughters-in-law, Mary Johnson and Amy Wyche; and brother, Charlie Hoggard, Jr.
Louvenia was a devoted employee at Foodway (now known as Save-A-Lot), where she worked as a cashier for many years until her health declined. Her greatest joys were raising children, cooking, planting flowers, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was also a gifted seamstress who created beautiful clothing for herself, her children, and others whenever time allowed.
Louvenia leaves to cherish her memory: three (3) sons, Joseph Johnson, Sr., Lake City, FL; Alfredo Johnson, Lake City, FL; Meshach Ali, Gainesville, FL; two (2) grandchildren whom she lovingly raised from birth, Antonio Wyche (Tatyana) and Xavier Wyche; three (3) sisters, Patricia Williams (Michael), Jacksonville, FL; Lessie Tillman (Robert), Jacksonville, FL; Jannette Johnson, Queens, NY; one (1) brother, William Hoggard, Jacksonville, FL; two (2) sisters-in-laws, Willie Mae Rivers and Bertha Wyche; 1 brother-in-Law, Andrew Wyche; a special nephew, Samuel Turner; and a host of other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Special thanks to Cooper Funeral Home, Vitas Hospice Care, and Ms. Joy.
