Leon Winston Jerry "Poppy"

Leon W. Jerry was born on August 26, 1947, in Lake City, Florida, to the late Kaiser Jerry and Leona Jerry. Leon was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. In 1968 he met his wife Carrie. They were joined in holy matrimony in 1969. From their union, two children were born. Leon's greatest joy came from spending time with loved ones. His sense of humor is something everyone could remember. Thanks be to God for the effectual fervent prayers of his wife and the body of Christ for his salvation. Leon humbly accepted our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ as His person savior on January 14, 2025.

On the night of March 14, 2025, the Lord called Leon home.

Leon leaves behind his loving wife Carrie Jerry, Three children Tedrick (Ainey) Jerry, Tomeaka Jerry, and Lakea Sharif. Four grandchildren Jazmine Pierre, Ayanne Jerry, Miiah Alusma, and Milleik Alusma. His sisters Florine (Johnny) Dix, and Leola (Bobby) Ivery. His brothers Cherry Lee Jerry, Johnny (Carolyn) Jerry, Melvin Jerry, MacArthur Jerry, and Kaiser (Donna) Jerry. He also leave a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kaiser Jerry and Leona Jerry and his brother James Edward Jerry.
