Gerald Edward Williams, age 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 8, 2026.
Born on December 15, 1950, in Live Oak, Florida, to the late Bill Williams and Ellen Williams, Gerald matriculated through the schools of Lake Butler, Florida. He retired after 41 years of dedicated service at the Northeast Florida State Hospital and later continued working in healthcare, serving several nursing facilities, including West Jax, for an additional 27 years.
Gerald was well known and deeply loved throughout his community. He had a great love for sports, especially football and baseball, but his love for his family was truly unparalleled.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Doretha Fayson, Willie Mae Williams, and Laura Mae Williams; and his brothers, Bill Williams, Charlie Williams, and Tommie Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memory a loving, caring, and devoted wife, Eunice “Tammy” Williams; three loving daughters, Michelle Odom, Shannon Williams, and Victoria McKenzie Williams; four loving sons, Gerald Williams (Rickia), Derrick Williams (Renee), Geraldo Williams (Andrea), and Jeremiah Williams (Ta’Kenya); one brother, Ervin Williams (Joyce); three brothers-in-law, Clarence Williams (Catherine), Verna Williams (LuAnne), and Fidel Williams (Marva); and sisters-in-law, Rosa Williams and Linda Hampton (Stafford).
He is also survived by twenty-six grandchildren: Constance Clemmons, Martin Odom, Malcolm Odom, Mia Odom, Clinton Odom, Chelsie Neal, Sadie Williams, Marcus Williams, Amber Williams, Emma Williams, Jaeden Williams, Jaleel Williams, Naimah Williams, Shakirra Williams, Jakiyah Williams, Zaria Williams, Ja’Quez Williams, Shamar Williams, Elijah Williams, Shariah Williams, Christian Williams, Kaleb Williams, Savannah Williams, Ja’Dari Williams, Jamarcus McKenzie, and Kaden McKenzie; four great-grandchildren, Jayden, Kai, Roman, and Genesis; his best friend, Leonard Moore; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
