Evelyn Dunlap was born on January 9, 1946 in Lake City, Fl to the late Eugene Freeman and Catherine Freeman. On January 29, 2025 she transitioned from this life. She received her education in the Columbia County School System. She enjoyed family, family gatherings, fun and laughter, reading her bible, praying and listening to The Angel Radio Network.
Mother Dunlap was converted at an early age and became a member of Hope Henry AME Church in Lake City, FL. She later united with Miracle Tabernacle Church under the leadership of Apostle Cleopatra J. Steele. She served in the ministry on the Mother's Board, volunteering at Lad Soup Kitchen, and providing words f wisdom every third Sunday being faithful in her duties until her health declined.
Evelyn had a kind and generous heart, always looking out for others. Whatever she had she was willing to share and would give her last. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her. She is loved dearly by family and friends and will be deeply missed. "Well done, good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of the Lord."
Mother Dunlap is preceded in death by her late husband Willie Dunlap; sons Willie Dunlap Jr and Michael Dunlap; brothers Eugene Freeman Jr and David Kelly Jr: sisters Elizabeth "Lynda" Newton, Patricia "Tricia" Johnson and Minnie "Lil Minnie" Lindsey; a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sibling, aunt, cousin and friend. She leaves to cherish loving memories with daughter Tonya Waters (Joseph); grandson Willie Dunlap III (Tiffany); great-grandson Willie Dunlap IV; sisters Shirley Jones, Essie Lewis (Carlton), and Pearlie Johnson (Billie). A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. To include long-time friends Willetta Jackson, Teretha Cray and Leon Graham.
