In Loving Remembrance of Mr. Eric Roberson
Mr. Eric Roberson was born on August 23, 1954, to the late Angeline and Jetson Roberson. On Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the Lake City VA Medical Center, he peacefully entered into eternal rest. He leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, strength, and serenity.
He was a loving and devoted husband to Diane Roberson for over 40 years. Their life together was full of shared memories, mutual respect, and a deep, abiding love that stood the test of time.
A lifelong resident of Lake City, Eric spent over 20 years with the Baker County Department of Corrections and over 25 years with the Florida Army National Guard. He was known for his integrity, strong work ethic, and generous spirit. He loved fishing, gardening, and cheering for his Florida Gators, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Eric proudly served his country with honor, achieving the distinguished rank of Master Sergeant. Throughout his military career, he was recognized with numerous awards, including the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Service Star, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, and the Army Lapel Button. He also earned the Marksman Badge and the Parachutist Badge, reflecting his exceptional skill and dedication.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Joseph, Kenneth, Jackie, and Debbie whose memories he cherished dearly. Their lifelong connection was filled with love, and we take solace in knowing they are reunited.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving wife, Diane Roberson, his daughter Lakiesha Anderson (Michael); sons Derrick Roberson (Reneka) and Darrell Roberson; Sisters Francena Waters, Mattie Dye (Oliver), Sherlie Roberson, Tammy Stewart (Kenneth); Brother-In-law Lanell Grice, Larry Grice (Sherry); Sister-in-law Lessie McClain; Grand Children Derrick Roberson Jr, Tayana Pierce, Kaleb Williams, Malachi Roberson, Derrion Roberson, J’Quan Roberson, Derriona Roberson, Ramiyah Rothwell, Dakari Roberson, D’Ariea Roberson, Erickah Roberson, Javion Roberson, Javiona Roberson, Da’Riyah Roberson, Darrell Roberson Jr., Kaden Roberson; and a host of Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relative and friends.
