Earnest "Tree Man" Lee

Mr. Earnest “Tree Man” Lee was born on December 20, 1958 to the late Mr. Earnest Lee, Sr. and the late Ms. Rosetta Mickens. He was born and raised in Lake City, Florida.  He received his education from the Columbia County School System as a graduate of Columbia High School Class of 1977. After graduation he was employed with the Department of Corrections for three years.  Then he proudly served in the United States Army more than six years from January 28, 1981 until January 27, 1986. After completion of his military service he moved to Orlando, Florida was successfully self employed in the Tree Service Industry until 2016 when his health began to decline. On May 18, 2025, at 2:35 PM, Earnest made the decision that he rather go home to his father’s house than to continue the suffering that his broken body has endured for the last 66 years. God being the ALMIGHTY FATHER made “Tree Man’s” body whole and opened heaven’s gate to welcome him home.

Earnest was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. Henry Jones Sr. and Ms. Willie Mae Jones, parents, Mr. Earnest Lee, Sr and Ms. Rosetta Mickens, sisters, Gloria Jones and Lottie Bell Davis, daughter, Monica Denise Lee and granddaughter Cashara L. Lee.

Earnest leaves to cherish his loving memories his daughter Sharonda Necole Lee of Tallahassee, Florida and son Eric Devon Lee of Greenville, Florida. His bonus brother Micheal Coles of Cocoa Beach, Florida. His aunts Christine Henry of Orlando, Florida, Sadie Curtis of Lake City, Florida, and Angela Bristol of Daytona, Florida. His uncles Henry Jones, Jr. of Lake City, Florida and Eddie Jones of Lake City, Florida. His grandchildren, A’nessa Fluellen, Amonte Fluellen, and Ah’lani Woods of Lake City, Florida, A’terian Clark and Leanna Clark of Tallahassee, Florida. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
