Charlie Calvin Allen

Mr. Charlie Calvin Allen departed this earthly realm peacefully on April 23, 2025, age 78 at the Lake City VA Medical Center in Lake City, Florida. He was born November 8, 1946, in Tifton, Georgia to the late Mr. Willie Allen, Jr. and Mrs. Louisiana Jackson Allen.

Charlie was educated in the public schools of Columbia County. Charlie joined the United States Marines receiving an honorable discharge due to medical reasons. Charlie was well known for speaking his mind.

Charlie was preceded in death by his daughter Kinita M. Allen, his brother Willie Allen, Jr. and his sister Mary Helen Campbell Timmons.

His memories will be cherished by his sister Julia Mae Allen of Lake City, Florida; his daughters Tracey Fleming-Holder and Teralyn Fleming both of Tampa, Florida; the love of his life Louise Perry of Lake City, Florida; his best friend Butch Weston of Lake City, Florida; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. He will be deeply missed.
