Bobbie Jean Timmons was born December 24, 1946, at Dade County Hospital in Miami, Florida, to Ruby and Mack Timmons.
She attended RR Moton Elementary from 1952 – 1958 and graduated from Mays High School in 1965.
Bobbie was employed at the Division of Driver Licenses from January 1985, until her retirement. She was loved by her fellow employees and clients alike. She was affectionately known by her best friends as “Big Girl”.
She was baptized on October 1, 1976, into the Church of Christ at Goulds, in Miami. She was a faithful and supporting member and one of the best Sunday school teachers along with Doris Hoye for the toddler’s class. The children loved and adored her.
Bobbie moved to Lake City and began worshipping at North Side Church of Christ where she found her new church family. Early Tuesday morning on January 13, 2026, Bobbie took her last breath on this side of life.
She leaves to cherish her memory: One aunt, Lutisha Bell, one uncle: Wilbur Bell, a nephew, Zwadie, brothers Mack B. Timmons (deceased), Barry Timmons (Frances), other nieces, a dear classmate Betty, her most cherished lifelong friends, Doris Hoye, Viviloria Bing, Faye Suddith and a host of sorrowing friends.
A favorite bible verse of Bobbie’s was Philippians 1:21-For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
