Mr. Billy Lamar Wallace, affectionately known as “B,” answered God's call and transitioned from his earthly life to eternal rest on June 1, 2026, at the age of 65. Billy was born on April 4, 1961, to the late Grace Clark Wallace, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his loved ones: James Wallace, Marguiree Graham, Aaron Wallace, and Vanessa Berry.
A lifelong resident of Lake City, Florida, Billy attended the public schools of Columbia County and graduated with the Class of 1979. He later continued his education at Florida A&M University. Billy was a faithful member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, where he worshiped under the leadership of Wyndell B. Wallace.
Following his education, Billy proudly served his country in the United States Army. After returning home, he dedicated his life to public service and law enforcement. He worked with the Florida Department of Corrections and served with law enforcement agencies throughout Columbia, Suwannee, Baker, and Alachua counties. He also worked in security at Northeast Florida State Hospital, where he continued his commitment to protecting and serving others.
Later in life, Billy found love and companionship with Yvonne Givens, whom he married. Their union was blessed with two sons who became the pride and joy of his life. Billy was a devoted father, family man, and friend whose kindness, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to those he loved will forever be remembered.
Billy leaves to cherish his precious memories his beloved sons, Brantley Wallace and Brandon Wallace; their mother, Yvonne Wallace; his bonus children, Alexa Givens, Alex Givens, Latrissa Givens, and Jackie Givens; his siblings, Carolyn Aaron, Marionette Wallace, Cassandra Lockett, and Conrad Wallace, Sr.; his sister-in-love, Lesia Wallace; his nieces, Josephine, Jennie, Tyeisha, and Naya; his nephews, Kinard (Pam), Cedric, Wyndell (Almeda), Bruce (Tawana), Delmos, and Conrad II; special friends Alvin George, Jessie Murphy, Van Tillman, Michelle Williams, Sandra Griffin, and the Bedrock Community; along with a host of great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
