Belgin Alfracia Perry, age 65, was born on August 29, 1960, to the late Mr. Richard Evans and Mrs. Glady Perry Evans, as well as Mr. David James. On November 12, 2025, he answered the Heavenly call and transitioned from labor to reward.
He graduated from Columbia High School, Class of 1978. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he faithfully served and retired as a Senior Chief after twenty-six years of dedicated service. Following his military career, he worked as a Communications Specialist in Government Civil Service for twenty-one years in Norfolk, VA, until his passing.
“Bobo”, as he was so affectionately known, had a heart for helping others in any way he could, and his acts of kindness made a lasting impact on the community. His presence and sense of humor brought joy, laughter, and comfort to everyone around him. His loving, giving, and compassionate spirit was felt by all, and his love was genuine and unconditional.
Belgin was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Fyron Perry.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory: his devoted wife and caregiver of forty-one years, Joann Lovelace Perry; his son, Jamal Perry of Virginia Beach, VA; stepmother, Ms. Shirley James of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Richard A. Evans (Deeshah) of Jacksonville, FL, and Pastor Randy James (Sabrina) of Richmond, VA; three sisters, Alicia James Wise (Nero), Davina James (Patrice), and Allison Steward; his grandson, Bryson Campbell; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
