Arrie Lee Wade was born on March 28, 1952, in Lake City, Florida, to the late Willie D. (Fannie) Edwards and Henry Edwards. She peacefully transitioned from this earthly life into eternal rest on January 25, 2026, surrounded by family, at HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, Florida.
Arrie received her formal education in the Columbia County School System and was a proud graduate of Richardson High School, Class of 1970. She furthered her education at Lake City Community College.
At an early age, Arrie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and united with Hope Henry African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Arrie was united in holy matrimony to Cecil Wade, and together they shared a life rooted in faith, family, and perseverance.
She devoted 42 years of faithful service to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Arrie was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Maude Lee; and her brothers, Rayfield, John Henry, and McKinley Edwards.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her devoted husband, Cecil Wade; her beloved daughter, Cecilia Wade of Lake City, Florida; her sons, Roderick Edwards (Lana) of Aldie, Virginia; Travis Edwards (Michon) of Scott Air Force Base, Illinois; and Cedrick Wade (Amanda) of Lake City, Florida; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; her sister, Willie Mae Jones (affectionately known as Bae) of Lake City, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family, and friends.
